Taco Master

When I think about the iPhone/iPod Touch platform I think about time management games. The iPad is also getting its fair share of the genre. Taco Master is a time management game where you get to fill taco orders. Patrons arrive with their taco orders, and you fulfill them. Like every other time management game Taco Master starts extremely easy. It then gets more difficult as more things are added.

The visuals in Taco Master are grainy. I thought I was running a real taco stand. The only thing that was missing was a few flies. The characters in Taco Master are ethnic in a way that will make you think about tacos. There are diverse opinions on that - whether it is a good thing or a bad thing. I will leave that up to you and your family.

The music in Taco Master is really cool. I was listening to it, and the various sound effects and felt like Chillingo got it right. The music brings forth fond memories. Then we get to eat some tacos. My bad, we make the tacos and others eat them. Career mode will keep most busy, but once you are done with that then you can move into arcade and timed attack. These will provide you with your ninety-nine cents worth in my opinion.

The game play mechanics in Taco Master are very simple. Tap the order to see what needs to be built. Then select the various ingredients to create the taco that matches the order. Finally move the taco to the order. Do this for every single customer. The more orders you fulfill the better your score. Don't get enough and you have to replay the level. Or you could put your device down, pick up a protest sign and march around. I doubt it will produce the desired result but you will probably expend some energy.

The core lesson in Taco Master is serving others. Doing that service well, and at a brisk pace. Businesses constantly talk about doing a good, and thorough job that is also done fast. Cutting corners hurts companies. Taco Master teaches to do everything to the best of your ability. I have played a nice array of time management games in my life. Taco Master is one of the most interesting that I have played.
