If you are going to call yourself the king of anything you better be pretty good. How good THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95 is very debatable. This reviewer acknowledges it improves things from the previous version, but it still has a long way to go. At least in terms of the family friendly audience. No worries friends, we are going through the gauntlet with THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95.

Certain female characters have less upper body bounce in THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95. Which is a step in the right direction. Their attire, or lack thereof is still an issue. The violence is the next big problem with THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95. Men beat up women, women beat up men, and so on. If you did just a few of the moves in real life you are either an MMA fighter, or behind bars. Technically both are in some form of a cage so you get the point.

The audio in THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95 sounds garbled. The music is in your face, bash everything in the place. Which means it will wake you up. The taunts from the different characters after winning range. Some are okay, and others are plain rude. And then there are others that are insulting. Be a good winner, and try not to create sore losers.

Gamers can enjoy the singles mode or the team mode. This reviewer appreciates that variety. Not everyone wants to have to go three on three. Sometimes it is just cool to go one on one. Especially if you are fighting someone online. Which is another feature of THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95. If you like SNK fighters, then this is one to look at if you are old enough to handle the enticement to lust, and violence.

The funniest thing about THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95 is right before you play it shows you the arcade controls. Which is almost helpful. There is an option to go and see the controls in the home console way on a different menu screen. THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95 has kept true to the NEO GEO roots it was ported from. The controls are better in THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95 than THE KING OF FIGHTERS '94.

What does THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95 teach us? Bash them in the face before they get you. Okay, if you wanted to you could kick them in the shin instead of the face. But the lesson is the same. Get them before they get you. Get them over and over again until they can no longer fight back. Then you can stop beating them. That is the one ray of sunshine in THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95. Once they can't fight anymore you leave them alone.

There are various disturbing images in THE KING OF FIGHTERS '95. One fighter slashes his own chest after winning. One female uses her behind as a weapon. Hardcore games will argue over which franchise is better. This one or Super Street Fighter. The WMG is going to let them continue to argue without putting an opinion in the public forum.
