Storm in a Teacup

Storm in a Teacup is a really interesting game on the iPhone/iPod Touch. This little guy moves around inside a teacup. Once I get past that little oddity I found this game to be a fun little game. The controls are interesting as well. But I will get into that in a bit. The teacup can fly in some fun ways. The world is fascinating enough and generally non-violent.

Did I just mention the non-violent nature of Storm in a Teacup? Yes I did. The player moves through the levels avoiding dangers. If you run into one of them then your character quickly explodes. You get reset back at the last continuation point. The art work in Storm in a Teacup is approachable by all ages of the family. The main character is on the small side, but cool.

There are forty levels in Storm in a Teacup. Some of them are shorter, and others will take multiple attempts. Mostly this has to do with learning the nuances of the controls. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for this review. Storm in a Teacup costs ninety-nine cents. In my opinion that is a very good price for all those levels. Storm in a Teacup includes various collectible items.

There are three buttons in Storm in a Teacup. Move to the left, move to the right, and the jump button. Well it is more than a jump button. Players can fly for a short time. There is a gauge that lowers as this button is used. Now it can refill very quickly. Which is cool, because it can extend the length of a jump. At times that is needed. I had fun playing Storm in a Teacup.

The main lesson I learned from Storm in a Teacup is to avoid obstacles. I also learned how to keep myself airborne as long as possible. A longer gauge could have helped me stay airborne even longer. Storm in a Teacup is a game that is a little different from others on the iPhone/iPod Touch. It is almost at the level of a console game. In fact I could see Storm in a Teacup on the Nintendo DS. Sequels to Storm in a Teacup would be appreciated here at Family Friendly Gaming
