Solatorobo Red the Hunter

Solatorobo Red the Hunter is an interesting role playing game on the Nintendo DS with a few Nintendo DSi features. The coolest one is to take a picture of yourself and put it on the profile of the game. The characters in Solatorobo Red the Hunter are dogs and cats. Well dogs and cats that stand up like humans, and talk. The main character Red has a bone in his mouth.

Solatorobo Red the Hunter is a bright and colorful hand held video game. Red goes around in his robot which looks a bit like a mech. It lengthens his arms and legs. He fights other robots. This is done by picking them up, flipping them up, and throwing them around. Red can also pick missiles and bombs out of the air. He will then throw them at the enemies. Usually the enemies are other robots, but at times they are things like giant fish. There is also one shot of a female character wearing skin right clothes. It is a very short and brief shot.

The music in Solatorobo Red the Hunter is shockingly good. There are also some special effect sounds when there is dialogue that fit this game famously. The whole dogs and cats things works better than one would expect it to. The Solatorobo Red the Hunter package Family Friendly Gaming was provided includes an audio CD. So you can take the music with you. There are a few words here and there that could have been left on the development floor.

Solatorobo Red the Hunter is an easy game that most gamers can blow through in ten hours. But then we found out Solatorobo Red the Hunter continues on after the game ending. Plus there are many things that can be done like quests, finding music, pictures, and more. Solatorobo Red the Hunter includes a fishing game, and a flying racing game as well. All of this adds to the replay value of Solatorobo Red the Hunter. In this reviewer's opinion Solatorobo Red the Hunter is worth the price of admission.

The puzzle elements of Solatorobo Red the Hunter are a lot of fun to play. The fighting action in Solatorobo Red the Hunter gets boring. This Nintendo DS game tries to shake things up by making the player use certain strategies to beat different enemies. The enemies change up enough to keep the player on their toes. Thankfully Solatorobo Red the Hunter is kind enough to allow players time to learn the patterns. The storyline generally flows in this hand held title. There are a few points where side quests had to be completed to acquire a hunter rank high enough to continue the storyline.

Initially the impression of Solatorobo Red the Hunter is there was no religious content. However there is a religion shown in Solatorobo Red the Hunter. This one town has a 'holy' mountain where the people worship upside down looking anchors. Interesting idol. They follow a belief about birds ferrying the souls of the dead. Sounds like someone in the creative process of Solatorobo Red the Hunter has seen The Crow one time too many.

Thankfully Solatorobo Red the Hunter is a lot cleaner in the religious aspects than most role playing games. The previously mentioned content can be bypassed and even missed. Players will understand it is some religious town, but unless they talk to everyone they will miss the deeper aspects. There are also some fantastic concepts in Solatorobo Red the Hunter. Being willing to sacrifice someone for the greater good, or finding another way to stop a major destructive power.

Solatorobo Red the Hunter is one of the more interesting role playing games we have seen here at Family Friendly Gaming. The world is generally more friendly than most role playing games, and certainly less violent. This reviewer would like to see sequels to this franchise in the future. Solatorobo Red the Hunter includes a multicard feature for up to four family members.
