Snowball Run
SCORE: 78
Snowball Run follows the story of a yeti
that picks his nose, flings it at a bird, and that bird causes and
avalanche. The bird was not trying it, it landed wrong after getting
slimed. The first time I played Snowball Run I felt like the yeti was
getting what he deserved. After all he cause the avalanche so he should
pay the piper. Instead we get to run away from the giant snowball.
The graphics in Snowball Run are not a complete white out, but they are
limited in their range. There are birds that fly, rock, ice cream cones,
dynamite and more in Snowball Run. All of these items are hanging around
in your path. Snowball Run lets you wiggle things around from left to
right a little bit, but the game play area is generally limited.
The music in Snowball Run is pleasant and brought some tranquility to my
life. I could have done without the birds personally. What is the
obsession on the iPhone/iPod Touch with birds and pigs? They are in
games all over the place. The main replay mechanic in Snowball Run is to
make it farther and gain more point. Health chests will replenish
mistakes that were made. This game encourages players to get all of the
items. Leave nothing for the giant snowball.
Different people have had different results with Snowball Run here at
Family Friendly Gaming. Some absolutely love this game, and keep
replaying it. I ran into some issues with the rocks. Maybe they were not
completely on the screen or something. My issue is I could double tap a
rock, or swipe a bird, and nothing happened to them. This led to
irritation on my part. Snowball Run gives players a few short seconds to
remove obstacles. This problem was not all the time either.
I stopped playing with two lessons on my brain. The first one is to run
away from messes that you create. The second lesson is to take out the
obstacles that are in your path. I just thought of a third lesson. The
third lesson is to avoid fighting things that are way bigger than
yourself. Snowball Run includes some crude humor in it. I would like to
see sequels to this app in the future.
