Saving Yello

Yello is a goldfish out of water. Literally out of water. His young child owner likes to take him out to play with him. So it is up to us to fling him back into his water. The game also encourages us to destroy as many of the seven year old Mathilda's toys. I can understand getting back into the water, but the whole revenge angle seems odd.

The graphics have some decent details to them in Saving Yello. I could tell what things were from different rooms. Expect numerous obstacles as you try and fling your fish into the water. Something about that just does not sound right. Although Pike's Place Market has fish flinging. Yello makes some strange faces, and can experience all kinds of torment. Surprisingly water boarding is not one of them.

The music is pleasant, and fits the theme of the game. I got tired of the sounds when I hit something. Why? They sounded painful, and he is this little itty bitty fish. Saving Yello has the fish cry when you do not complete a level in the set amount of flings. This is something I found disturbing. I understand he is sad, but it made me feel two inches tall.

There are forty levels in Saving Yello in three different regions. The game has more coming in the future. A fair amount for the ninety-nine cents you will be out. The game play in Saving Yello caused me no end of stress. I had problems lining things up - even with the guide. I ran into issues getting through on some levels. I found one mistake at any point can be fatal. There is an undo command, but that is only allowed a few times or they want ninety-nine cents to give you some more.

The humor in Saving Yello is the in your face, laugh at someone else's problems. It really did nothing to uplift, or edify me. I am also troubled by the revenge factor in Saving Yello. When I heard about Saving Yello I thought it was going to be another great one. I must admit I am slightly disappointed in what I found.
