Rango: The WORLD is a
browser based Internet video game that brings the dusty town of Dirt to
life. Based on the hugely successful animated movie Rango from Paramount
Pictures, Rango: The WORLD gives fans the opportunity to explore the
world of the film. Fans can create unique and customizable characters,
journey around the town of Dirt and its surrounding areas, and meet new
friends all in a safe family friendly environment.
In Rango: The WORLD you get the chance to become the hero. Once you have created your character you jump right into the action by meeting with Rango to get introduction to the town of Dirt. After a couple of simple quest to help you learn the area, Rango and friends will have more in-depth quests that will keep you busy for hours. The game is really easy to start playing. I was very impressed with the user-friendly interface and controls that will make Rango: The WORLD fun for all ages.
Funtactix did a nice job of providing a safe environment for younger gamers. All gamers are automatically registered for the safe chat area when creating an account for Rango: The WORLD. An email is then sent that allows the parents to decide to keep the child in the safe chat or allow them to change over to the filtered chat area. Both are closely monitored, but I like that Funtactix was considerate to those that are searching for family friendly gaming experiences. Rango: The WORLD provides free play for everyone, but also has a subscriber options for those looking for more in-depth gaming, increased character customizations and more.
Parents will need to keep in my there are places in the game that are reflective of old west communities, like the ones presented in the movie. Once such location would be the local saloon, but overall the environments are fun and entertaining.
Fans of the movie will find
enjoyment in the detail and depth in Rango: The WORLD. It is always fun
to learn more about your favorite characters, and Rango: The WORLD gives
you that opportunity. As mentioned, I like the steps Funtactix took to
make this game as safe and family friendly as possible, while still
marketing to a mainstream audience. I look forward to what Funtactix
will bring to the web in the coming years.
