Qube Adventures

I have made a name for myself lately by playing the flinging games. You know the games where you pulled back on a part of something, let go and watch it go flying. Yeah those kinds of games. It was discovered that Qube Adventures is in that style of game play. So I was asked to use my skills in reviewing it. I said no way, no how. Okay seriously I said yes. You are reading this review so I must have said yes.

There are some great colors used in Qube Adventures. The cube you fling, and the green platforms. They sort of reminded me of pillows. The nice background color. And that is where Qube Adventures stops. There are not many additional details that gamers have come to expect in games. Qube Adventures looks plain compared to them.

I like the music in Qube Adventures. I love the special effect sounds. This is another area that reinforces that pillows statement from before. The special effect sounds are squishy, but in a really good way. The music made me spend more time with this game than I initially would have. That area of Qube Adventures shows some nice talent.

There are an okay amount of levels in Qube Adventures. There are so many other apps with a whole lot more puzzle levels for the same price. It will make it difficult for Qube Adventures to compete. The challenge of Qube Adventures is what will bring gamers back. Once I defeated a level I had no interest in playing it again.

Most flinger games have a guide. This guide shows you where your guy is going to go. Qube Adventures does not have this. I was a little surprised by this. That means the only way to get to the next platform or to the exit is via trial and error. But you also have to recall what you did last time, and what adjustments need to be made.

I had to figure things out for myself in Qube Adventures. I spent every level guessing. One mistake sent me back to the beginning. I wound up not having any fun with Qube Adventures because of this. I learned to try and get to the goal with the least amount of flings as possible. Qube Adventures is kind in letting us go over and over again. A timer is the only thing to remind us of our multiple failures.
