Phineas and Ferb is one of those franchises that we enjoy here at Family Friendly Gaming. When the DVD + Digital Copy of Phineas and Ferb The Movie Across the 2nd Dimension came in there was a lot of excitement. So much so that I did not even catch the first viewing of the movie. Others were all over it. The boys have a certain innocence, and creativity about them. They finally find out that their platypus Perry is a secret agent. They also travel to another dimension Dr. Doofenshmirtz has taken over.

The artwork in Phineas and Ferb The Movie Across the 2nd Dimension is a little bit better than the television show. There is also more action and violence in Phineas and Ferb The Movie Across the 2nd Dimension. They also mess with the viewer with the whole 2D thing. Certain things will come flying towards the screen just like in a 3D movie. The different dimension versions of the characters is interesting to say the least.

I really enjoy songs from Phineas and Ferb. That is one of the trademarks of the franchise. There are eight music tracks that are a part of this package. Sadly there is only one that any of us enjoyed - Brand New Best Friend. This is a bit of a disappointment for us because the shows usually have a good song or two with only a few songs in a show. The voice acting continues to be top notch. I did appreciate how they worked part of their theme song into another song. That was pretty cool.

So you have Phineas and Ferb The Movie Across the 2nd Dimension on DVD, and a Digital Copy. What else? Eight music tracks, a build your own Platypult Kit, eight deleted scenes, commentary, bonus episode and more. Perry-oke is one of my personal favorite bonuses. I checked the price on Amazon and there is a fair amount of content for the price.

Phineas and Ferb The Movie Across the 2nd Dimension is seventy-seven minutes long. That is not counting all of the bonus features. The story revolves around a few different things. Phineas and Ferb finally learn Perry's secret. They deal with that. They wind up trapped in another dimension and have to fight their way home. They have to deal with an invading force, and how to set everything right. This movie takes the viewer on a fascinating, and fun journey.

I have to be crystal clear on something. I do not believe in different dimensions where there are different versions of ourselves who made different choices along the way. I know that fantasy idea has been around for some time now. We used Phineas and Ferb The Movie Across the 2nd Dimension as an opportunity to explain that to our children, and the lack of scientific proof for such an idea.

Phineas and Ferb The Movie Across the 2nd Dimension also teaches helping others, how important friendship is, and stopping evil. There are people in our world who would enslave everyone if they could. We have to be vigilant against those who are constantly trying to destroy and enslave. There are also people who are positive, and uplifting. People that create instead of the destroy.
