Pac-Man Party 3D

Would you like to know how powerful the Nintendo 3DS is? Compare Pac-Man Party 3D on the 3DS to Pac-Man Party on the Wii. Yes the 3DS version is a scaled down version, but it looks awesome. The transition to the hand held has been a good one. What seems strange though is a party game on the hand held. Maybe I am not thinking about it properly since there is the download play option.

The colors in Pac-Man Party 3D are very bright. I love how many different strong colors are used all around this game. There are some nice details in various locales. The 3D effects add a new dimension to Pac-Man Party 3D. Pun was not intended. Play the original Pac-Man, Dig Dug, and Galaga to see how far we have come as an industry.

The music and special effect sounds in Pac-Man Party 3D are fantastic. There is one sound in this game that has started to grate on my nerves. I think I heard it on the Wii way too often. Pac-Man Party 3D will tell you that you have to win the mini games to wind up winning the game board. This is the ultimate key to winning Pac-Man Party 3D. The more castle you get, and mini games you win (to keep castles or take them away from other players), the quicker you end a game.

Games in Pac-Man Party 3D can last an extremely long time. Thankfully this Nintendo 3DS game is kind enough to save after each series of turns. I would then go back later and load a game from its last save point. Four family members can enjoy Pac-Man Party 3D as long as each of them has a Nintendo 3DS. There is also local play for those that all have the game. Fifty mini games, and multiple game boards mean gamers get their moneys worth.

I know some people who do not like the Pac-Man Party franchise. If you are one of those, and your mind is made up there is little I can say to convince you. For everyone else - I really enjoyed Pac-Man Party 3D on the hand held. I am still amazed at the fantastic job Namco Bandai did in terms of porting this game over.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing Pac-Man Party 3D on the 3DS. I learned to be strategic in each and every turn of Pac-Man Party 3D. I learned to quickly learn mini games and play them to the best of my ability. I would love to see this franchise continue on in the form of future releases. That is in your hands.
