Ninja Throw

Do you know what time it is again? It is Ninja time. Family Friendly Gaming is putting on those itchy suits to pretend we are ninjas. And this time we are not exercise challenged ones sitting in a boat. This time we get to throw shurikens. These are also commonly referred to as ninja stars. This hand held title is a physic puzzler with some fun twists.

The graphics look pretty darn blasted good in Ninja Throw. Players are small on the screen, but what is important is the guideline showing where the ninja star will go. There is some common sense here though. The guideline does not change if an object will change the trajectory of the ninja star. There are enough stars to play around a little bit there though.

Do you know what a ninja video game sounds like? Ninja Throw is the correct answer. Every single sound in Ninja Throw oozes ninja. This game makes players feel like they are in the middle of a ninja movie. Hi-YAH! Which is sort of strange since Ninja Throw requires mental skills and not aggressive ones.

There are a reasonable amount of levels in Ninja Throw for ninety-nine cents. The one issue is Ninja Throw is really easy. A skilled gamer can blow throw the entire game in an hour to two. The main replay aspect of Ninja Throw is to complete the level in less stars. The fewer the better in this iPhone/iPod Touch game.

The deeper a player goes into Ninja Throw the more curves the game will throw out. That is meant literally as well. Clouds will bounce the ninja star the direction of the clouds mouth. Players put things like clouds on the levels. Some idol looking things have gravity and pull the ninja star towards it. Others push them away. Mix those two and you might get a migraine.

The lesson in Ninja Throw is to think about how to solve a puzzle. Think about how external forces effect an object in motion. Hopefully more levels will be coming in the coming months. Ninja Throw is a really good idea with excellent execution. It was this reviewer's honor to play and review Ninja Throw. Clickgamer has a real hit on their hands.
