MotoGP 10/11
SCORE: 88
MotoGP 10/11 is an improvement over last
years. In fact I am very pleased that Capcom is continuing this
franchise. There are so few good motorcycle racing games on the market
today. The feel of this game is a vast improvement over last years.
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a major blessing in the form of this
game on the Playstation 3.
The racers and the motorcycles look great. The models, and attention to
detail is fantastic. The level of realism of the tracks is amazing.
There are so many little things to see, but I spent most of the time
racing past all those roses. There are female characters at the start of
every race who could have used a few more clothes, especially when it
was raining. This is one aspect of this franchise that it needs to
progress past.
The racing sounds are wonderful in MotoGP 10/11. I enjoyed the revving
of the engines, and the announcer who offered various tips, and mini
missions. The music is decent in MotoGP 10/11.If you don't like it, then
it can be turned off in the options section with an ease. Making
mistakes is part of life, but MotoGP 10/11 lets the player rewind and go
back to just before their mistake. This is a nice feature that I
appreciated.
Two players can enjoy MotoGP 10/11 locally, and up to twenty can play
online. MotoGP 10/11 includes voice chat (hopefully other players will
remain family friendly), leaderboards, lobbies, trophies, add-on
content, game play recording, and five different modes. There are
various difficulty settings with a risk reward system. The harder the
difficulty, the higher the reward. Of course the lower the difficulty
the better you will do. At least until players attain skills in this
home console game.
I love how MotoGP 10/11 plays on the easier settings. The previous game
had way too many crashes. I found MotoGP 10/11 controls so much better,
and is easier to learn. Capcom has improved upon how this franchise
plays, and I believe it is a step in the right direction. MotoGP 10/11
is a fun game to play, and one of the better racing games I have played
in some time. The level of realism is high in this game, and I
appreciate that.
The female 'eye candy' at the start of the levels is the biggest issue
families will have with this game. I wish there was some way to
permanently bypass that portion of the game. MotoGP 10/11 encourages
players to race clean, and to stay on the race line. I learned how to
race a motorcycle and to be careful while racing. I want Capcom to
continue this direction for this franchise. It is fantastic that they
are providing for motorcycle race fans.
