We have come to expect some high quality
games from Chillingo. Let's Jump! does not disappoint. The concept of
this game is extremely simple, but nearly impossible to ever completely
defeat. Players are given a goober looking little creature. See what
they look like if you do not believe me. They bounce on little platforms
as high as you can make them go. No problem right? The platforms below
you go away pretty fast so players can not fall too far back down.
The level of detail in the graphics of Let's Jump! is amazing. I can not
believe how bright and colorful this game is. There are different
themes, and you can decide which one suits you. I love the beach
personally. Although that kite with eyes did startle me. All of the
characters in Let's Jump! have a fun, fresh, and happy feel to them.
This game is one that kids can enjoy, and adults will want to master.
The sounds in Let's Jump! carry a bouncy feel to them. There is a lot of
squishy sounds in this game. They fit the theme of the game amazingly
well. I did find one sound in Let's Jump! that I did not like. That is
the poor creatures scream when I made a mistake and started to fall.
Thankfully the game cuts this short and brings up a screen where I
usually found out what I had unlocked. Or how far I had progressed for
some achievement.
Achievements are all over this game. I enjoyed many things Let's Jump!
let me unlock. This is one thing that will bring families back. The
price of Let's Jump! is very reasonable. The addictive factor is pretty
high in Let's Jump!. There is a lot of tracking in this game, and a lot
of content to unlock. I am thankful that Family Friendly Gaming was
provided a download code for this game. It is one of the better ones on
the market.
The controls are very simple in Let's Jump!. Rotate the iPhone/iPod
Touch to move your little guy. Want to go right, then dip the hand held
to the right. Want to go straight, then hold it still as flat as
possible. The longer you play the more kinds of platforms you will
unlock. These will help with achievements, and getting even higher. I
had fun playing Let's Jump! on the iPhone/iPod Touch. On a rare occasion
there was some slight lag in this game. I never died from it, but it was
present from time to time.
The main lesson I got from Let's Jump! is to plot my trajectory. I also
learned some great hand eye coordination. My youngest son will be using
this game to improve his skills in this regard. I love how Let's Jump!
is totally non-violent. It encourages us to do our best. I would love to
see sequels to Let's Jump! in the near future. Let's Jump! is one of
those apps that can be picked up and played for a few minutes of fun.
