Kona's Crate

SCORE: 80

Konas Crate

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Kona's Crate on the iPhone/iPod Touch. It took me multiple attempts to wrap my brain around this game. The player controls a platform. This platform has two jets on it, and a crate on top of it. The concept is simple, control the two jets to traverse the crate to the chief. This sounds easy, but can be devilishly difficult.

The graphics in Kona's Crate are okay. There are some bright colors in this game, and the crate explodes when it hits the tribal looking chief. He is one of the strangest looking things in this game. It dawned on me that he could walk over to the crate instead of have us fly it to him. Typical of some people though - they expect us to do all the work while they stand there doing nothing. Just kidding, there would be no game if he was proactive in a crate reunion.

There are sixty levels in Kona's Crate. They are easy at first, but they get extremely difficult later on. I was surprised at how quickly this game becomes difficult. Kona's Crate is selling for ninety-nine cents. I feel that is a good selling point for this game. If you are looking for a challenging app, then you should take a good strong look at Kona's Crate.

The physics in Kona's Crate are impressive. The crate can slip off and fall down. At that point you will most likely have to restart the level. The difficulty setting of Kona's Crate is very high. I know a lot of people who will get frustrated with this game quickly. Once I wrapped my brain around the concept of this game I enjoyed it a bit more. Kona's Crate is still rough on players.

I learned how to be a delivery man. I do not comprehend why the chief would destroy my crate every time I delivered it to him. I guess I displeased him or something. I would like to see sequels to this game in the future. The idea behind Kona's Crate is interesting. That being said, the difficulty may limit the audience.
