Just A Ball

Just a Ball is a little app on the iPhone/iPod Touch. Players get a soccer ball, which they have to get into a card board box. There are various items that are used in Just a Ball to get the ball to the right place. This physics puzzler contains twenty-one levels that require precision. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of Just a Ball.

The graphics in Just a Ball are very crisp, clean, and clear. I enjoy how well the ball animates, and the various colors used in this game. I found no offensive graphics in Just a Ball. The menu screens exhibits a nice intelligent design. These graphics enhance the game play experience in a pleasant way.

The music in Just a Ball is enjoyable. I like the music in Just a Ball. I feel it is very important to make that point. I do feel that the music in Just a Ball does not match the game play. I am not sure what it is, but it just does not quite fit. This is more of a gut feeling than anything clinical. I found nothing offensive about the sounds in Just a Ball.

Just a Ball is selling for ninety-nine cents. So it will not break the bank. There are only twenty-one levels though. In my professional opinion that is a little light. Especially considering how many of them are pretty easy to solve. It is my hope that there will be updates with additional levels in the near future.

The physics in Just a Ball are marvelous. I enjoy watching the ball bounce, roll, and fly around. It is so wonderful to get the star(s) and the ball into the card board box. At some points I expected to see Solid Snake come out, but that is a different company. There is some thought required for certain levels of Just a Ball. I like how easy it is to tweak the objects in this game.

Simple physics is the main lesson in Just a Ball. I learned how to plan the trajectory in various areas. It was a real pleasure for me to be able to play and review Just a Ball. I hope to see sequels in the near future. I see a solid layer of ground work lain with this game.
