Feed Me Oil

Feed Me Oil

When I first heard about Feed Me Oil I thought it was going to be some environmentalists propaganda software. I was way off. Players are pumping oil out of a pipe and into a specific area. This area is generally for some odd looking creatures who need to eat the oil. None of them look like humans. Which I am very thankful for. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of Feed Me Oil on the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Feed Me Oil has a very distinctive graphical look. I have played various games in my life and few have this kind of artistic flair. The creatures animate in interesting ways. Many of the levels have a darker tone to them. I did not find any offensive graphics in Feed Me Oil. In some ways Feed Me Oil reminds me of World of Goo. Different people had different reactions to Feed Me Oil here at Family Friendly Gaming. Some loved the look, and others were not fond of it.

The music changes in Feed Me Oil. Some of them have a real lullaby feel, and others are more upbeat. I really enjoyed the special effect sounds in Feed Me Oil. They add an enormous amount of atmosphere to a game that will require massive thought. The various tools in Feed Me Oil all enhance this atmosphere as well. I found that the music in Feed Me Oil relaxed me, especially when I was concentrating on how to solve a certain level.

Feed Me Oil is selling for ninety-nine cents. You will get your money's worth. There is little reason to replay the levels. You can try some things for more stars, but most will be happy with just solving it. The hints assist the game play but they really kill off the replay. I heard some people comment on just waiting for the hints to solve a particular level. There are so many seconds a player must wait between hints. This makes this game beatable as long as you are patient.

The physics in Feed Me Oil are fantastic. The oil flows freely in this game. Different tools have some fantastic effects on these tools. I enjoyed figuring out the flow of the liquid, and how to solve each level. Not everyone likes to use their brain, and I understand that. Feed Me Oil will also teach you some basic physics. The flow of the liquid is a feature that is done amazingly well.

I am very thankful that I got to play and review Feed Me Oil on the iPhone/iPod Touch. This app is a fun way to learn how liquid moves in different environments. There are not a lot of levels currently in Feed Me Oil, but more are coming. I am amazed at how creative the existing levels are. Some of the solutions in Feed Me Oil are very mind boggling. I am thankful that the hints are there to point me in the right direction.
