F1 2011 Game

F1 2011 Games is a vast improvement over F1 2010 Games. Jump Games must have read my review, and implemented my suggestions. Why would I say that? Because every issue I had with last year's game has been improved. This is the first time I am willing to say F1 2011 Games is a solid formula one racing game on the iPhone/iPod Touch. This is also the only official F1 game on this platform. If you search on F1 2011 Games you will find some other apps that are not the game. To me that is beyond annoying.

Graphically F1 2011 Games is beautiful. I am shocked at how good this app looks. The vehicle models, the tracks, the stands, the whole enchilada. F1 2011 Games is one solid looking game. The only issue I have is F1 2011 Games glitches when you start bumping other drivers. This is discouraged in a couple of ways. I just did not see the realism when I drafted too closely, or gave them a nudge.

The music in F1 2011 Games is astounding. I love hearing the music in this app. For me the music in F1 2011 Games is pure pleasure. The special effect sounds put me in the zone of being a race car driver. The voice that told me things was very professional. He let me know when I did better or worse in a section. Also when I cut corners, and nudged the other drives. I got flagged for that on a few tracks. Sometimes even more than once.

There are enough events and races in F1 2011 Games to warrant the three dollars. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for this review. I am so very thankful we were. I am also thankful I was able to review this app. There are twenty-four cars that race on the nineteen tracks. F1 2011 Games also includes a pit stop mini game. Just in case you get tired of racing around the tracks.

The menu screens are sleek and stylish in F1 2011 Games. It is easy to make adjustments. The first thing I adjusted is the sensitivity of the controls. Once I had them to my liking I was able to stay on the pavement. Well most of the time. I enjoyed the tilt controls as well as the gas pedal being on the right side and the brakes being on the left. My one complaint about F1 2011 Games is my hand got tired on longer races. I would advise gamers start out with three laps. Work your way up to a five lap race.

F1 2011 Games teaches players to compete, and to do it cleanly. Knocking other cars out of the way is frowned upon in F1 2011 Games. I like it when a game corrects my bad behavior instead of encouraging it. Part of my job as a reviewer is to test the game, and see how it reacts. I can see that Jump Games is going in the right direction. I can not wait to see how they improve this franchise next year.
