Carnival Games Monkey See Monkey Do

There are few reasons I would ever want to go to E3. Seeing the games from 2K Play is one of them. In fact I grill our E3 team after they have seen the upcoming games from 2K Play. They continue to impress us here at Family Friendly Gaming. Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do is an Xbox 360 Kinect video game. It is also the most difficult Carnival Games video game I have ever played. More on that coming up.

This game really utilizes the Kinect masterfully. I got a sweat while playing Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do. I was not the only one. The Xbox 360 was kind enough to suggest taking a break. I suppose it did not approve of me sitting on the floor after an extended play session. I would not be surprised to find out this sensor is smart enough to know I needed some rest time.

The graphics in Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do are a step up from the Wii New Carnival Games. Which is pretty cool. I appreciate the additional details, and the extra polish. There are some stressful situations like when you dunk someone in a tank full of sharks. The sharks don't bite them though. I was relieved to see it was kept family friendly. The monkey brings in the children who enjoy watching him hop around.

Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do has a real fun sound to it. I finished playing this game wanting to go to the carnival. The host is a real fun guy. With that said there are some comments he makes that may increase your blood pressure. He told us that granny did better at the granny shot. That little snide comment was not always taken well. Other times he may tell the player to aim for the basket. Which is exactly what we were doing.

The twenty activities in Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do are: Gold Rush Mountain, Hot-Air Balloon, Wheel of Chance, Funnel Cake Falls, Rocket to Mars, Crash-Test Dummy, Pop Darts, Alley Ball, Ring Fling, Shark Tank, The Amazing Wodin, Pig Race, Monkey See, Monkey Do, Down the Stretch, Strength Test, Knockout Punch, Court King, Granny Shot, Golden Arm, and Hitting Streak. Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do includes a lot of unlockable content that can be won and/or purchased with tickets. I enjoy earning tickets and then using them to accessorize.

We all had issues with the controls in various activities in Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do. Some of them like Down the Stretch, and Knockout Punch worked perfectly. Others like Hitting Streak, and Alley Ball were not as kind to us. Which I found odd because these kinds of mini games work really well on the Wii. We had different ages try them, and it was consistent. Granny Ball is one that works well early on, but the heavier the item, the worse the controls got. Overall the experience with Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do is a lot of fun. Gold Rush Mountain is one stand out ride that everyone enjoyed. Pop Darts also controlled really well.

Hand eye coordination is one of the lessons in Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do. As well as having quick reflexes. I appreciate how I could completely fail at an activity and still earn five tickets. Wheel of Chance is the one exception to that rule. Families can come together and enjoy Carnival Games Monkey See, Monkey Do together. It is great that 2K Play makes games like this for families. There is a DLC download that I will be reviewing soon, so there is a sequel of sorts.
