Ultimate Block Party

I found Ultimate Block Party for an extremely low price, and we need something on the Playstation Portable (PSP) for the review section. I also researched this puzzle game, and found a lot of other places seemed to like this hand held game. The puzzle game has the player rotating four small blocks at a time. Get four (or more) of the same color touching one another, and they will disintegrate. The bottom keeps marching up towards the top. If blocks reach the top of the screen, then it is game over.
Ultimate Block Party has some bright colors, and some less than bright colors. The game is shown in a comic book graphical layout. This presentation is different to say the least. There is at least one female character who is busting out, and bounces around. I am not sure how the ESRB missed this sexual content, so it is nice that we are able to point it out to the public. Characters celebrate as they are winning, and they are unhappy as they are losing.
The music in Ultimate Block Party just annoyed me. This is a rare statement coming from me. I normally enjoy all kinds of music, but this game is an exception. Ultimate Block Party contains background stories to the various characters.. Not all of these characters are honorable though, so keep that in mind my friends.
Ultimate Block Party is a battle style of puzzle game which encourages two players to go head to head in competition. There are some Wi-Fi modes, as well as a couple of modes for the single player. Even though I purchased this PSP game for under ten dollars, I do not feel it is worth the money.
The saving grace for Ultimate Block Party is the controls. They are easy to learn, and have some interesting strategy. To be honest the controls almost feel too easy. This lulls the player into a false sense of security. The blocks can slowly climb near the edges, and end before the player knows what is going on. An improvement would be some sort of a warning that gets the players attention.
Ultimate Block Party
teaches concentration, color matching, and time management. It also has
lessons about robbing from the rich, vanity, and other forms of
selfishness. The bouncing buxom babe has to be the most disappointing
part of this Playstation Portable game for me. I had such high hopes for
Ultimate Block Party, but they were dashed.
