Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught

Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught is a very interesting concept, and one bold move by THQ. This Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 video game asks players questions. Players must answer the question, and this game determines if you are telling the truth or not. In essence Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught is a lie detector. That is what it claims to be. I like the idea of it, but I seriously question the technology behind it. With that said there is a lot of laughter at some of the odd questions.

Graphically Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught is okay. There are some nice effects here and there, but this is mainly a quiz show kind of game. So most of the screens look similar. The changing of the rounds breaks things up, but not much to write home about. There are a couple of screens of avatars that look okay as well. Bringing in our Miis would have been an improvement in my opinion.

If you have read the ESRB's descriptors, then you have some idea what to expect from Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught. There are a lot of questions, and not everything is safe for children. There is a selection in the options where you can make the game safer. With that said we still found crude humor, and some oddball questions. The music gives Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught a game show kind of feel. Which I think is actually pretty cool.

There are over three thousand questions in Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught. You can replay this game a lot, and not get repeated questions. Your voice is recorded, and replayed if you got the best or worst answer in a round. Large families can enjoy Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught at the same time. Only one remote, and one microphone are used. A lesson in sharing can be learned from Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught.

The biggest problem I have with Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught is its lie detector. The game has you tell the truth to three questions, and lie to three questions when your profile is created. That is the baseline it uses to determine truth or lie. Problem is Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught is not very accurate. I told the game bold face lies, and it told me I was the most truthful in that round. I then would be called a liar when I was telling the heart felt truth. This accuracy problem took away a lot of the fun for me. Some of the weird questions threw me as well. Thankfully any question can be skipped.

If you expect Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught to root out lies in your family, then you are in for some real world problems. I can see how feelings could be hurt, and riffs could occur after playing Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught. There is also an opportunity for some fun for adults. I do see Truth or Lies Someone Will Get Caught as a game more for the older members of the family. The Hot Seat is one area where this game allows for all kinds of opportunities. Asking someone any question you can come up with is a really bad idea.
