Trauma Team

The presentation in Trauma Team is top notch. The WMG has never before played a game that has so much attention put into the story telling. The screen shots of Trauma Team only do this game minor justice in terms of how Atlus presents this Wii game. Players get to learn about a doctor who is in prison for over two hundred years. As the game progresses gamers learn more about his background. The WMG promises to not spoil any part of this game for the adult gamers interested in playing it.

The art style in Trauma Team is really cool. The WMG enjoyed the art style. With that said there are some details families will want to pay attention to. There are female characters who have not been educated in concepts like modesty. There is blood, and other fluids in Trauma Team. To be honest the WMG was expecting to see those things. One character has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth most of the time. He routinely drops it on the ground polluting the environment.

The only thing that shocked the WMG about Trauma Team is the language. The level of profanity from some characters was not expected at all. It wound up giving this reviewer a migraine. The voice acting is pretty good. The voice actors relay a lot of emotion in Trauma Team. The music in this Wii game is also top notch.

There are a lot of levels to play in Trauma Team on the Wii. Older family members will find themselves playing for weeks at a minimum. Certain levels are timed, so if you fail, you have to do it all over again. There is a local co-op mode so two players can play Trauma Team at the same time. The WMG would like to see that section of the game expanded in sequels.

Trauma Team expands the franchise in the most perfect direction. Players get to take on the role of various doctors and play their storylines. When you finish with one doctor there are quite a few more to play through. Trauma Team really focuses on the team aspect, and that is a great direction to take this franchise. Playing one doctor in previous games was good, but this adds a level of realism. Speaking of realism what is up with having to redo certain areas. The WMG would clean up an area, stitch it up, add medicine, and wind up coming back to find another tumor.

Trauma Team earns its ‘T’ for Teen rating from the ESRB. There are a  lot of adult issues covered in Trauma Team. Crime, punishment, helping others, breaking the law, and more are touched upon. This Wii game also has a very human face, as characters do not always do the right thing. It is easy to pick out the characters who are impatient, and lacking self control. All in all Trauma Team lets you practice saving lives, which is admirable.
