TinkerBell and the Great Fairy Rescue
SCORE: 86
Tinker Bell is back on DVD and Blu-ray in Tinker Bell and the Great
Fairy Rescue. This movie is based on the summer season. Although a lot
of Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue happens in a rain storm. The
fairies are in their summer camp. Well technically it is a tree, but
they have everything they need. The movie explains how humans and
fairies have never met before. Can you guess where Tinker Bell and the
Great Fairy Rescue takes us?
The rain makes a lot of Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue really
dreary to me. There is definite story elements that the rain fulfills.
Tinker Bell meets Lizzy and neither of their worlds will ever be the
same. The animation is fantastic in Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy
Rescue. I just love seeing things like the bees, butterflies and how the
various characters help one another. There are not any evil characters
in this movie, just those with different motives.
The voice acting in Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is generally
good. There are a few characters with such heavy accents that it is
difficult to distinguish their lines. The British accents of the human
characters work for me. I found the music to be okay in Tinker Bell and
the Great Fairy Rescue. None of the song caught my ear like previous
films. There is some mild teaching about fairies.
Family Friendly Gaming was given the Blu-ray DVD combo of Tinker Bell
and the Great Fairy Rescue. My personal favorite bonus is the feature on
Tangled. The deleted scenes is interesting, but I really wish they would
animate these fully. Another bonus feature of note in Tinker Bell and
the Great Fairy Rescue is the winner of the design a fairy house. Tinker
Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is an interesting enough movie that kids
will want to watch it again.
The story in Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue touches on topics
like parents spending time with their children. I also noticed a slight
teaching in listening to your children, and assisting them explore their
interests. Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue includes some neat
things about admitting ones mistakes, and helping out friends. I had no
problems traversing the menu screens.
Topics like fairies can be a very touchy subject in some families. I did
not find Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue to be offensive. There
is magic in this movie, which is how the fairies fly. Humans also learn
to fly thanks to the fairies. I have been noticing a real theme in the
Tinker Bell movies as they are drawing closer to Peter Pan. The next
movie in this series will feature winter, and I am looking forward to
it. Bridgit Mendler's music video has a wonderful lesson in it that I
appreciated.
