The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword

For those not aware, I have a long history with super heroes. I read comics, watched cartoons, and live action movies as a child. I outgrew some things, but never the concept of the super hero. So when Family Friendly Gaming was offered the opportunity to review The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword I jumped all over it. There are seven episodes on this DVD for around two and half hours of time.

Marvel Super Hero Squad is a smaller, shorter version of the Marvel heroes. Our children have enjoyed their toys for years now. A cartoon based on this toy line makes a lot of sense. The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword takes these heroes and brings them down to a children's level. Do not expect heavy issues to explored, which is fine with me.

The color scheme in The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword is fantastic. I love the contrast between the villains area and Super Hero City. The various heroes and villains all look great. There is cartoon violence in The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword, as well as some rude, crude humor. Most of that rude, crude humor has to do with bodily functions.

The theme song to this show is awesome. It gets stuck in your head, and makes you want to hero up. The voice acting is good, and it is a real treat to hear Stan Lee from time to time. The bodily function part of the humor can be gross at times. The heroes and villains have a lot of humorous things to say. Children will find The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword very funny. Adults can be a different story.

The Shout Factory has really risen to the occasion with the extras in The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword. There is a fantastic interview with Stan Lee, a music video, trailer for the show, and trailers for two video games. I have to admit when I heard there was only part of a season being released, I did not expect much out of the extras. This disc has pleasantly surprised me.

The heroes find a way to win in The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword almost every time. The stroke that wins for them can be campy at times. Thing is The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword is not trying to be realistic. It is a fun little show for kids. Our testing proves kids were entertained by this show. Some younger children decided to start smashing like the Hulk, so gauge their reactions.

The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword tells the story of the heroes trying to get the fractals so the villains do not destroy the world. There are some interesting lessons on this disc. From throwing tantrums to being brave. I would like to see sequels to The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show Volume 1 Quest for the Infinity Sword. In fact I would love for entire seasons of this show to be released. This show has brought a smile to my face, and reminds me of fun super hero shows from the past. One episode deals with magic.
