Tetris Party Live is a downloadable Nintendo DSi scaled down version
of Tetris Party Deluxe. The coolest thing about Tetris Party Live is
getting to play against people all over the world. Well I think its
cool, but you may not be into competition. This game can be purchased
for 500 Nintendo DSi points. In essence five US dollars. Four gamers can
enjoy Tetris Party Live at the same time.
Are you familiar with Tetris? If your answer to that question is a yes,
then you know what the graphics in Tetris Party Live are like. The
blocks fall down the middle of the screen, and the player must place
them making lines. Each different shape had a different color. When
things are really blazing by at a high speed, that color recognition is
what can help save the day. Or help you get a few more lines, and a few
more points.
The music in Tetris Party Live is infectious. It is still stuck in my
head. This can be viewed as a positive or a negative. I enjoy the song
in Tetris Party Live. There are others here at Family Friendly Gaming
who can not stand the song, and they have been vocal to me about that.
The special effect sounds, especially getting a Tetris (four lines at a
time - the most that can be acquired in one move).
The good side to Tetris Party Live is it is fun. The bad side to Tetris
Party Live is it is addictive. The concept of this game works today, and
can be played for hours. Playing against others is one aspect of Tetris
Party Live that will really help it along. There are a few modes in
Tetris Party Live, but not as many as Tetris Party Deluxe. The price
point is pretty good.
Family Friendly Gaming was blessed with a download code for Tetris Party
Live on the Nintendo DSi. I enjoyed planning out how to get the blocks
together into lines, and making them go away. The addictive nature of
this game is the one issue families should take note of. Morally and
ethically there are no issues with Tetris Party Live. This hand held
game can also teach attention to detail as well. I find the idea of
Tetris Party Live very fascinating.
