Stargate Atlantis Season Four
SCORE: 59
What I find really sad is when Hollywood feels the need to push the envelope farther and farther away from family values in progressive seasons of television shows. Stargate Atlantis Season Four is a classic example of this. Thankfully there are some nice guest stars in Stargate Atlantis Season Four. Teal’c, and Dr. Carson Beckett are the biggest names to stop by. Both of them are definite fan favorites, and are shining stars. Certain well known sci-fi stars return as bad guys as well, but I won’t spoil that.
Stargate Atlantis Season Four contains a lot of violence, blood, and gore. The gore in certain episodes is absolutely disgusting. The worst example is a character holding a head they had just chopped off. The body count is as high in Stargate Atlantis Season Four as it is in many first person shooter video games. There are also images that are there to entice men into lustful thoughts. Certain characters seem to have blood on them in almost every single episode.
I am absolutely confounded why there has to be so much bad language in television shows. Stargate Atlantis Season Four contains way too many words for children. I am an adult, and I have no interest in hearing all this bad language all the time either. I really wish MGM would clean the language up in Stargate Atlantis Season Four. There are also offensive jokes, and anti-marriage content.
Stargate Atlantis Season Four contains some nice special features (deleted scenes, bloopers, audio commentary, photos plus more), and some I wish was not there. There is some content in the extras that I wish was not there as well.
Stargate Atlantis Season Four has an intelligent design in terms of the menu screens. I did have some frustration in navigating through certain menu screens though. The storyline in Stargate Atlantis Season Four takes care of the replicators, and then goes back to the Wraith. Sci-fi fans will enjoy the time travel episode, but may find it to be lacking. I sure did. It is almost like they threw something together at the last minute.
I was very unhappy with a lot of the
content in Stargate Atlantis Season Four. A baby outside of marriage is
shown as normal, a character decides marriage is not for them, and
questions like who you would fool around with. This is the tip of the
iceberg of the attacks on the family in Stargate Atlantis Season Four.
Thankfully there is only one more season of this television show. It is
becoming a chore to review it.
