Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures is a Massively Multiplayer Online game from Sony Online Entertainment. In Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, SOE was able to create a MMO game that allows players to enjoy a wonderfully designed representation of the Star Wars: Clone Wars universe – as seen in the popular cartoon series. From the character models to the environments and character voices, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures captures the essence of the cartoon and delivers a great gaming experience for Star Wars fans of all ages.
The Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures interface is easy to use and will only take a matter of minutes to setup and jump right into the gaming. Gamers will be able to create their own character; choosing from race, class and features. Once your character is created, then it is on to the fun. There are so many online games, interactions and collectables to keep gamers busy. Enjoy countless hours of Light Saber Duels, Blaster Training and much more. Gamers will be able to make friends, collect items, get new gear and purchase items. The environments are very reminiscent of the hit cartoon show. I was very appreciative of SOE staying true to the cartoon and the characters Star Wars faithful have come to love. One thing most will notice is the voice acting is true to the cartoon. The dialogue is great and the cartoon voice actors do some of the voice work.
The controls in all aspects of Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures are very good. Gamers can use the mouse or the arrow keys to walk around and interact with other characters and environments. Game controls vary from using the mouse to using the keyboard, but each game is explained in detail and the controls are easy to understand. Some of the games are available to Jedi Members only, which requires a $5.99 monthly fee. This membership will provide exclusive content and games. But even without the Jedi Membership, there is plenty to enjoy in Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures.
As with most online games, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures allows for setting changes to adjust the game on your individual PC. For better performance, lower the graphic settings. But for those with powerful PCs, then expect a wonderfully developed representation of the Star Wars universe – as previously mentioned. Both the video and audio can be adjusted for player preference. The one area that may be of concern for some parents may be the battle sequences and animated violence. If your children are already familiar with the cartoon, then this will not be an issue. But if you are new to Star Wars: Clone Wars, then be advised there is some mild animated violence including shooting and combat.
Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures is rated E10+ due to Crude Humor and
Fantasy Violence. I really enjoyed playing Star Wars: Clone Wars
Adventures. MMO Role Playing games are not for everyone, but if you are
a fan of Star Wars: Clone Wars or other MMORPGs, then Star Wars: Clone
Wars Adventures is definitely worth checking out.
