New Carnival Games

Have you ever been to the carnival before? What about a county fair? New Carnival Games for the Wii has the same feel. 2K Play knows what they are doing when it comes to producing that atmosphere. There are over thirty mini games in New Carnival Games that use the Wii Remote or Motion Plus. I am astounded at how well the Motion Plus controls in this Wii game.

The visuals in New Carnival Games capture the atmosphere perfectly. Shooting ducks, knocking out clown teeth, shooting hoops and more are captured beautifully in this home console game. Games like Bottle Stand-Up made me feel like I was actually there. Some of the mini games involve shooting targets. The Haunted House is the only one that some children may not get into. I did not find it scary, but I am an adult.

The atmosphere of New Carnival Games continues in the audio department. Every single pore of this Wii game is oozing carnival. There is a fortune teller in New Carnival Games that gives completely useless, but sometimes humorous information. The music is upbeat, and fun in New Carnival Games. I was a little concerned about the whole fortune teller thing at first, but the generic phrases were nothing to be concerned about (editor: in this reviewer's opinion).

I found quite a few fun different mini games to play in New Carnival Games. Doing well earns the player tickets. These tickets can be used in various places. New Carnival Games contains over three hundred prizes that can be won and/or purchased. Certain mini games are unlockable from other mini games. Family Friendly Gaming was given a reviewable copy of New Carnival Games. With that stated I do feel this game is worth the money.

The controls are stand out excellent in New Carnival Games. I could feel my way through most of these mini games. The more I played them, the easier they became, and the better I did. Doing well helped me rack up the prizes, and the tickets. Up to four players can enjoy New Carnival Games at the same time. New Carnival Games is the closest thing your family can get to the real thing. It costs a lot less, and it smells better.

New Carnival Games teaches families to do well in competition. This Wii game can get discouraging when you do not do well. The comments are meant in jest, however not everyone will take it that way. I know a few players that were not happy about the comments when they tried their hardest, and fell short. I like how much work was put into New Carnival Games, especially the theme.
