Nancy Drew has become a hot commodity again. I have gotten to play a
wide array of Nancy Drew video games lately. No complaints from me or
Family Friendly Gaming about that. Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries is a
Nintendo DS video game where the player is set to solve a mystery.
Someone is trying to sabotage a wedding and it is up to Nancy Drew to
solve the mystery. This is done through various puzzle mini games, and
asking people questions.
The six different mini games in Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries range
visually. The I-Spy kind of game has fantastic graphics, and has the
player finding hidden items. The dance floor mini game has to be the low
point where a disco floor has different colors. The characters look
realistic, however they have no animations. Many of the characters are
models so they are attractive.
The music is pretty good in Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries. I enjoyed
listening to it while I was playing this hand held video game. I did get
a little irritation from some of the special effect sounds like the
phone ringing. Various characters will threaten others, and lie about
things like their whereabouts. The players goal is to unearth the truth.
I enjoy exposing the liars and making them face the music. Especially
when they are trying to hurt others.
Any of the mini games played throughout Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries
can be replayed later. This can be done to get a higher score. The only
complaint I have about Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries is how short it
is. I blew through the three episodes in four hours. Only one player can
play Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries at a time as well. For the right
price this game is worth it though.
Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries is a very easy game to learn. I had no
problems picking up how to play this Nintendo DS game. Nancy Drew The
Model Mysteries has an E10+ rating (editor: for content), but the
gameplay is set for a younger age set. This makes this DS game
approachable by those who do not normally play video games. I had fun
playing Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries.
Nancy is trying to save a marriage in Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries,
and that is a very admirable goal. I would like to see more games like
this in the future, especially if they are longer. When I got done
playing Nancy Drew The Model Mysteries, I was wanting more mysteries to
solve. I also think sequels could leave out things like the alcohol
reference.
