Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered

I really like it when developers go back and update an older game. Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered is just that. This Personal Computer (PC) mystery game takes the first Nancy Drew game from Her Interactive and brings it up to current specs. With that said it also gave me a way of seeing just how far Her Interactive has come over the years. Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered is the story of a murder at a high school, and Nancy is needed to solve the case. Family Friendly Gaming was blessed with a reviewable copy.

The visuals in Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered are very realistic. The high school looks just like one, as do the other locales. There is some violent content in Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered, along with drugs. The ESRB is very accurate with their Everyone 10+ rating. The characters do not have many animations, but that will not bother long time fans of the series.

I expected some clunky voice acting for some reason. That part of Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered has been updated as well. Nancy is trying to find the truth in this area. I also noticed an underlying message of wasting your life thanks to drugs. That is a great message to catch in a video game. The attitudes expressed by the various characters is classic.

Since Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered is based on an older game I believe there is not as much replay value. Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered seems shorter to me. There are some new puzzles, and a new ending. No I will not spoil the ending for you. If you played the original there is enough new content to warrant a look. If you have not played it, and like the Nancy Drew games, then you will certainly enjoy Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered.

It is really great to see recent series innovations put into Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered. The game plays as quickly as you can solve the puzzles. Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered also has some flexibility to it. I found I could do certain things at different point without the game punishing me. This is a neat feature that lets the player feel like the game is not completely linear. I had fun playing in this environment.

Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered deals with some heavy issues. There is murder, and drugs. If you let your children play Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered, be prepared to have conversations on these topics. It is a good thing to steer your kids clear of both. So you can use Nancy Drew Secrets can Kill Remastered as a tool to explain what is wrong with both of them. I hope Her Interactive continues to remaster earlier games. Not everyone was around when they started this lengthy franchise.
