Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again

Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again is a downloadable video game on the Nintendo DSi. This franchise is Nintendo’s answer to the Lemmings series. Little windable Mario characters walk towards the door. Players will place, and remove blocks to assist the mini Mario’s on their march. At the end of each area the player will shoot Donkey Kong with mini Mario’s. They are shot out of a cannon. Later levels have the player shooting mini Mario’s above Donkey Kong and things like bananas will fall on Donkey Kong’s head.

Nintendo included a lot of great colors in Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again. I like the look to the graphics, and the Mushroom Kingdom details are well received. The violence is generally light, but still evident. I noticed the lady in red is busting all out. The good news is she is only shown a few times in the game. A level stops if a mini Mario walks on a surface like spikes.

Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again has some decent music that fits the theme of this game. I love how creative players can get in the construction zone. The first half o Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again is dedicated to teaching the player how to play the game. The second half is where the challenge comes in to play.

I really felt like Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again was lacking in replay value when I defeated the first four worlds. The next four worlds made me feel like Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again was more worth the money. Then I got into the construction zone, and enjoyed created my own levels. The plus side to a downloadable game is it costs less than retail products. The bad news is it can only be used on one Nintendo DSi. If something ever happens to the machine you may have trouble getting the game again (without having to repay).

The touch screen controls are great in Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again. I had a lot of fun playing this Nintendo DSi video game. The boss levels are very repetitive, and honestly many of the levels are very similar as well. This is where the player can shine by creating their own levels. I wish Nintendo would let us gift the game to someone else after beating it. Mainly because I embrace sharing of my own free will.

Mario vs Donkey Kong Minis March Again teaches players to think, analyze, and plan out their actions. I found most of the levels are pretty easy in this game. There are a few that required me to change the way I thought. I found it strange that Nintendo released this sequel in download only format. I would have preferred a game cartridge.
