Make it or break it volume one

Make it or break it volume one arrived at Family Friendly Gaming the same day as 10 things I hate about you volume one. I knew that both would be my responsibility and decided to go with the latter first. My thought was I would like it better. That held true all the way up till near the end of Make it or break it volume one. In fact the first half of this volume I was ready to fail this show. Something happened in the last few episodes of this television show. The lies and deceit that it started with were shattered. I began to care for the characters, and shed a few tears in the last episode.

Expect gymnastic style of clothing in Make it or break it volume one. This did not bother me, and I had my husband watch to verify. He did not find anything sexual about that attire. Some of the gym moms are another story entirely. Many of them are busting out. The show has images of various characters kissing. Some are married to other characters, and are in the process of a despicable affair.  There is also an episode with a church, and a pastor briefly shown.

Make it or break it volume one really shocked me with so much bad language in the beginning. The show is trying to show how stressful life is for these girls. There is also a real cheap view of sex in this show. Then late in this volume a character gets a more prominent role. She is a godly woman dating the father of one of the girls. She gives a wonderful viewpoint that families will appreciate.

There are 430 minutes of soap opera action in Make it or break it volume one. I checked out the prices of the DVD at various online retailers, and you are getting a lot of minutes for your money. The two bonus features are the deleted scenes, and Making It. I really enjoyed Making It because it showed some great behind the scenes information.

The DVD menus function properly, and have an intelligent design. The storylines in Make it or break it volume one are very tight. There are also some interesting surprises near the end. I was not fond of all the lies from various characters. I was happy to see almost every character come clean. Make it or break it volume one shows there are consequences for bad behaviors. I felt bad that one character choose not to cut the corner, and wound up getting hurt anyways.

There is a lot of moral and ethical content in Make it or break it volume one. Early on I felt this show was showing sex in a very cheap way. Later in the volume the tone changed, and it showed the problems with behaving that way. I labeled this show a soap opera earlier because of how closely knitted the storylines are, and how many characters were sleeping around. There was also deception, theft, and dramatic scenes. Make it or break it volume one is not for children. Adults can find some interesting insight though.
