Madden NFL 09 All-Play

I was not sure if I would approve of how EA Sports changed Madden NFL when All-Play was announced. I was so hesitant that I did not jump on Madden NFL 09 All-Play when it was first released. When I saw the game on clearance at Target I picked it up. I am very glad that I did. Madden NFL 09 All-Play is a lot of fun to play, and easy for any family member to pick up and play. Electronic Arts knows what they are doing, and they have targeted the Wii audience perfectly. The new 5-on-5 mini game is a nice addition, but the core of this game is playing a franchise of football. I like to play with different teams, but the Seahawks stay at the top for me.

Visually speaking Madden NFL 09 All-Play looks really good. The player models, and animations are great. The fans and coaches are not as realistic which is a bit of a shame. The tackling in Madden NFL 09 All-Play is realistic. Thankfully EA Sports did not go over the top with it as other franchises have done. The touchdown, interception, etc. dancing is kept safe. I just wish there had been players kneeling in prayer like they do in the NFL.

Madden NFL 09 All-Play has some fantastic commentators. They are not always perfect, but that can be difficult in any fast paced game. The music is mainly on the menu screens, and can be turned off in the options screen. I did not hear any music I recognized, and honestly it was not to my liking. I did enjoy Madden’s comments during the game.

Madden NFL 09 All-Play is nearly perfect when it comes to replay. Online modes as well as playing with family members locally are present. The various mini games, as well as franchise mode round out this Wii game nicely. I feel that Madden NFL 09 All-Play is worth the money I spent on it.

I love the controls in Madden NFL 09 All-Play. Flick the Wii Remote up to hike, and flick it out to pass to the most open receiver. Drawing the path a receiver will run is also present. There are so many easy ways to learn football in this game that I can not say enough good about this Wii game. I had a lot of fun playing Madden NFL 09 All-Play.

Madden NFL 09 All-Play is one of those games that can bring family members together. I can see this game being enjoyed by millions of families all over the world. I am recommending Madden NFL 09 All-Play to friends, family members, and pastors I know. I am looking forward to Madden NFL 10 All-Play.
