Lovely Lisa and Friends is a Nintendo DS video game that targets the girls of the family. This hand held video game is based on the doll franchise. Girls get to do chores around the house helping their family, as well as various jobs. These come in the form of mini games. Doing well nets you so many Lisa points. Those points are then used to purchase clothing, hairstyles, and accessories.
Lovely Lisa and Friends is a doll of a video game. The characters are all dolls, and it shows. They look like dolls, and do not have a lot of animation. The animation that is in this Nintendo DS game is strange. The whole idol dancing section had some of the weirdest dancing I have ever seen. It was not sexual thank goodness, just really odd. There are various attires that you can dress Lisa up in, and that is part of the fun for girls. In a lot of ways this is an interactive version of playing with the dolls.
I got a kick out of the music, and special effect sound in Lovely Lisa and Friends on the Nintendo DS. The dialogue includes a lot of helping her mother, father, and siblings. Parents will approve of how helpful she is, and how respectful Lisa is. There is some Japanese sounding songs in Lovely Lisa and Friends. I was not really clear what they were singing about.
Girls up to the age of eight got a real kick out of the mini games in Lovely Lisa and Friends. They could play them again, and again. I noticed that some mini games (Hamburger game) did not change. Every single time we made the same three hamburgers. Some multiplayer modes would have been nice, but are not included.
Tomy got so many things right with Lovely Lisa and Friends, and the game play is one of those regions. The tutorials are very helpful, and always an option before playing a mini game. The mini games are easy, and approachable for children. Lisa is very encouraging all the time. Even though the mini games in Lovely Lisa and Friends are easy, they are also fun. As an adult I enjoyed many of them. I had no interest in the whole idol singing thing though.
Lovely Lisa and Friends shows a very traditional family, and they all
have traditional roles. Although having twins that are toddlers, and
then triplets that are babies would kill me. I really appreciate
how much Lisa helps her mother and father. She seems a little young to
be wearing make-up in my book. That is one of the few less than positive
things I will say about Lovely Lisa and Friends.
