Little League Baseball World Series 2010 Little League Baseball World Series 2010

The last two years of the Little League Baseball World Series franchise have been on the Wii and Nintendo DS. At first I found it odd that this franchise jumped to the Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. Little League Baseball World Series 2010 is a fun little baseball game that contains a few power ups. This home console game is half way between a realistic baseball game, and an arcade baseball game - all based on Little League. It hit me that there are not as many of these kinds of games on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. So the move by Activision makes a lot more sense. Move your franchise to a system that is not saturated with similar titles.

Little League Baseball World Series 2010 has a real fun and fresh feel to it. I adore the fields with their various backgrounds. There are a lot of things that go on including watching a mascot dance around. The announcers face also comes up at various intervals. The detail on the characters is around the Avatar level. In other words slightly better looking than a Mii. I did not find any offensive images while playing Little League Baseball World Series 2010.

The announcer has a lot of funny lines that will keep all ages of the family entertained. We found ourselves laughing at quite a few comments. There is also interesting information on the players like their favorite food, or favorite movie for example. The one downside is we found some of the one liners are repeated. At other times the announcers comments were a little off. An example is your lead off player gets a hit, and the announcer said the runner advanced. Technically that is accurate, but those of us who know baseball know it does not quite fit.

I am really impressed with how much content Activision put into Little League Baseball World Series 2010. First off you really do need to go through the training to learn how to pitch and hit. You can play without it, but it will make this game a lot easier, and give you more options. Up to four players can enjoy this game at the same time. There are a lot of different teams from all over the world. Mini games for those who like to get a little change of pace. There is a home run derby game in Little League Baseball World Series 2010, but I was not impressed with it.

One of the best things about Little League Baseball World Series 2010 is how easy it is to play. Many baseball games require a PhD. I have had to study manuals for days just to get some fundamentals of certain games down. Little League Baseball World Series 2010 allows players to turn the game on, and start playing. The six inning games do not take as long. There is some strategy to Little League Baseball World Series 2010, and you can even play small ball.

I am very blessed to have been given a reviewable copy of Little League Baseball World Series 2010 from our friends over at Activision. This home console game is one that families should look it. The action is safe, even when power ups are used. I would like to see sequels to this franchise. Sorry to all the Wii owners who enjoyed previous iterations of this franchise. I will be recommending Little League Baseball World Series 2010 to pastors I know.
