Justice League the New Frontier

Justice League the New Frontier is set in the 1950s, and brings back a bygone era of DC comics. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Martian Manhunter and more make appearances in this DVD. These super heroes start acting in ways that is not good for the general public and the government starts getting more involved. The WMG was dismayed to see this movie participate in the extreme leftists smear campaign of the honorable and highly respected Joseph McCarthy. A huge evil creature the size of an island decides the human race needs to be completely destroyed. This DVD is in the era of the Cold War, and certain content is friendly to the failed Communist oppression.

The WMG was shocked by some of the scenes in Justice League the New Frontier. There are some very bloody scenes that go way over the top. A lot of explosions, death, and pain are included in this animated movie. The PG-13 rating is well deserved and well earned in terms of the visuals. It is interesting to see the older look for characters like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

Justice League the New Frontier has some nice music, but horrible language. Kids like to see cartoons more than adults. Why anyone feels degenerating respected characters in this manner makes no sense to the WMG. The audience is sincerely limited thanks to all the bad language. Then there is the extremist smear against a respected US Senator. Many of the super heroes in Justice League the New Frontier do not act super or heroic at all.

The history of the JLA is one of the most interesting special features the WMG has seen in awhile. There are audio commentaries that will interest the most die hard comic book fans. Some of the extra content is questionable at the very least. Even though the WMG found Justice League the New Frontier for ten US dollars, it is not worth the price of admission.

The lay out of the menu screens in Justice League the New Frontier is okay. The storyline of this movie has certain convenient moments that intelligent viewers will point out. One of the greatest examples is how Superman is taken out of the story and brought back later.

Justice League the New Frontier continues a propaganda campaign against good moral values. This movie makes the WMG miss the JLU cartoon where there was clever humor, cool characters, and a code of honor among the heroes. Sequels are not needed to this kind of content.
