The coolest thing about working at Family Friendly Gaming is I get to see progress in the industry. We asked for a kid friendly version of Just Dance, and look at we are reviewing now - Just Dance Kids. Ubisoft listened to us when we told them parents loved the concept of Just Dance, but some of the songs are not what they want their children hearing. The result is this Wii dance game that children can enjoy. You know what? They are not the only ones who will enjoy Just Dance Kids. As an adult I really appreciate and enjoy this exercise video game.
Visually Just Dance Kids is the safest Just Dance game for families. Kids of various ages dance to over forty songs. Their moves are energetic, and very safe. I saw no motions that I would not want my own children copying. The coolest thing about Just Dance Kids is they get exercise while they are enjoying music they enjoy. The attire of the kids is appropriate, and I appreciate Ubisoft keeping this game family friendly.
Parents have all kinds of choices in terms of creating playlists for their kids to dance to. I went through the song list, and was very pleased. There are a few lyrical issues here and there in Just Dance Kids. The overwhelming majority of songs in Just Dance Kids are safe for all ages of the family. Some of my own children's favorite songs in Just Dance Kids are The Hamster Dance Song, Kung Fu Fighting, Mickey, ABC, Who Let the Dogs Out, Wheels on the Bus, and Mmmbop. Like always, it does not hurt to check out the entire song list to make your own determination.
I played Just Dance Kids with my own children. We had people come in and out, making sure we had breaks. Kids love playing Just Dance Kids. I found this Wii game to be a blast, and it lives up to the Just Dance name. There are enough songs to keep kids busy for months. I know my own kids keep playing Just Dance Kids day after day after well you get the picture. It is a fun Wii game, and I enjoy spending time with them in this game. The dance moves in Just Dance Kids are safe for kids, and they get some great exercise. Although they may tell you certain moves are impossible at first.
Just Dance Kids is one of those games that improves the image of the gamer, and the video game industry as a whole. When someone tells you every game revolves around sex, and violence point them to Just Dance Kids. This game is another exercise game (in a long line), and it is geared towards children. The parental tracking in Just Dance Kids is awesome, and allows parents to monitor their children.
I can not say enough good things about Just Dance Kids. We asked for this game, and are very pleased with how it turned out. Our friends over at Ubisoft were kind enough to provide a reviewable copy for this review. This is the perfect Christmas gift for families with a Wii and children. I feel your money would be well spent on Just Dance Kids. I look forward to sequels in the near future. Well its my turn and it is a Beautiful Life.
