Just Dance 2

Anticipation can be a funny thing sometimes. I have been anticipating Just Dance 2 since Nintendo's press conference at E3 2010. Ubisoft was kind enough to send us a reviewable copy of Just Dance 2. My emotions were all over the place as I started to play this Wii title. Excitement, awe, wonder, and amazement all danced on by me.

Just Dance 2 contains over forty songs, and now you can download some. This is exactly the kind of thing the sequel needed. I should warn you though, you need to be careful what you wish for. Do you know why? You just might get it. Just Dance 2 will help you shed pounds to a wide array of music. Although Yolanda wants to know where is the country music.

Ubisoft surprises me consistently. Just Dance had a lot going for it visually. Just Dance 2 cranks that up a notch. Each and every song now has specific graphics for it. The animations of the dancers match what is going on in the songs a lot of the times. Certain dance moves are repeated. Monster Mash has the Frankenstein character pick his head off the floor and put it on his body. The majority of the dance moves are safe. There are some in this Wii game that are sexual in nature or could be interpreted as that way. If you have children under ten who want to play Just Dance 2, be sure to play with them.

Just Dance 2 is a potpourri of dance songs. We have Elvis Presley, the Beastie Boys, Bangles, James Brown, Cher, The Pussycat Dolls, Fatboy Slim, The Weather Girls, and many more. Just Dance 2 includes plenty of catchy tunes, and most of them are well known. I really enjoyed a lot of these songs personally. With that said Just Dance 2 does contain some language issues. While I was sweating it out happily, others noted some of the bad language for me. My advice is to look at the song listing and make a determination.

With over forty songs included and downloadable content, Just Dance 2 is one of those games that can keep families busy for months. Up to eight family members can enjoy Just Dance 2 at the same time in Dance Crew Face-Off. Two people can get together for a duet. The Dance Party mode, and Just Sweat mode round out the various reasons to replay Just Dance 2. If you are one of the over one million who enjoyed the original, you will find your money well spent on Just Dance 2.

There are a copious amount of dance moves in Just Dance 2. This Wii game kept me on my toes as it likes to shift the moves around. Some of the legion of new dance moves are absolutely insane to duplicate. At least that is how I felt when I started to play Just Dance 2. The more I played it the better I got. In case you are wondering the large woman will decidedly school you if you do not take her seriously. I had fun playing Just Dance 2, as did everyone else who was playing with me. We are all tired, but that is another story.

Oh you know I enjoy a good segway. That may come from my time being interviewed at a Seattle radio station. Just Dance 2 will help you burn calories. The really cool thing is this game does so while letting you have fun. Don't get me wrong, I love exercise titles. Just Dance 2 has me exercise and not even realize I am until I acknowledge fatigue. I got to learn some neat dance moves, which my Baptist friends don't understand - but that is okay. I was dancing like David danced. Just Dance has become a solid franchise, and I can not wait to see what Ubisoft comes up with in the future.
