Back in the day I was an NBA JAM pro. In fact I never lost a game on the 16-bit. I played against every single challenger on the Super Nintendo and Genesis. Being in the Air Force at the time I had quite a bit of competition. The aggressive play style fit me at the time perfectly. So I keep my eye out for games like it, and HOOPWORLD is in the same genre. The three on three basketball action spices things up with power ups that are sure to please long time veterans of this kind of series.

There are a lot of bright colors, and soft tones in HOOPWORLD. There are also some neat looking courts in various exotic locales. Players can swipe at, and kick opposing players. In fact this is encouraged in HOOPWORLD. There are female characters in HOOPWORLD, and they are really busting out. HOOPWORLD earns its E10+ rating. Thankfully the attire choices of some females is not much of an issue while playing a game. The graphics are not done in a way there to have the characters bouncing along.

The special effect sounds in HOOPWORLD are amazing. I really enjoyed getting to hear them. The music in this Wii game is also pleasant. I ran into no offensive language or words while playing HOOPWORLD. The sounds in this downloadable home console game work perfectly. I really enjoyed the slam dunking sounds.

I was really surprised at how much content is in HOOPWORLD. There are various modes, tournaments, and unlockable teams. Two family members can enjoy HOOPWORLD at the same time. Family Friendly Gaming was gifted a reviewable copy of HOOPWORLD. With that said I do feel it is worth the price (1000 points) of admission.

The gameplay is really good in HOOPWORLD. I found myself dunking, raining threes, and then I started figuring out the power up system. Power ups almost always help, so get them as often as possible. HOOPWORLD allowed me to walk down memory lane of my old NBA JAM champion days. I had fun playing this game, especially as I dominated game after game.

HOOPWORLD teaches players to win by any means necessary. If that means knocking down an opponent to steal the ball, then go for it. Sadly there are those who act that way in real life, especially in the business world. So that lesson is not the greatest one. Players need to be aware of this, and guard their hearts against following such a dark path. As an adult I found enjoyment out of this game, and would appreciate sequels in the future.
