Heroes Season 2

Heroes Season 2 seems like an after thought to Heroes Season 1. Season 2 picks up where the first season ended, but the writers did not seem to know what to do with the characters. They had woven a storyline to save New York City from a nuclear blast in Season 1. Season 2 floundered for awhile, then late in the year has an awful virus that kills 93% of the worlds population. The writers have the heroes fix that problem in just a few episodes later in a very anti-climatic fashion. A few new characters with new powers are added, and some characters are killed off. Thanks to a plot twist, even death is not that permanent in this television show. This plot twist does not involve time travel in case you are wondering.

Heroes Season 2 continues the blood, and gore in a very gruesome fashion. There is also drug use, anger, and hatred. Heroes Season 2 feels a lot more criminal than the first season did. This is not a television show for children in any way, shape or form. There is less excitement from the various powers characters possess, and some of them in this season are darker.

Heroes Season 2 takes a turn of being much more anti-God. It is a shame, but expected after the hints in Season 1. A wide array of bad words are also used in way too many episodes of this show. This exhibits a laziness on the part of the writers. The music in Heroes Season 2 continues to be good. There was less of the evolution belief system, but it is more hinted at in Heroes Season 2. There is a theme of exposing the company near the end, which results in threats and violence.

There are a lot less episodes in Heroes Season 2. I am glad that I found this on sale, otherwise I would feel like my money was uber wasted. As it is I feel like I wasted my limited personal money on this season. There is still some commentary, and deleted scenes. Alternate endings to the season finale is cool.

Heroes Season 2 functions just fine. The menu screens were not as good this season, and lead to some confusion. I already mentioned the floundering of the storyline, which applies in this section. I did not have fun watching Heroes Season 2. The writers tried to duplicate the first season, but failed miserably.

The addiction factor is completely gone with Heroes Season 2. All of the bad content wound up draining me, and this season left a very bad taste in my mouth. Many of the heroes act like villains in my opinion, and I really hope future seasons at least try to improve this show.
