Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition
SCORE: 76
Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition reminds the WMG of Wii
Sports Resort. There are a lot of fun athletic mini games for families
to play. There are over fifteen activities, and over ten exotic
locations. Some of the locations are the beach, and out in space. Get
Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition is compatible with the Wii Balance
Board, the Wii Remote, and Nunchuk. Brooke Burke headlines this game so
if you have feelings one way or the other concerning her, that is
important to know.
A lot of the graphics are average in the WMG's opinion. Get Moving
Family Fitness Sports Edition has some nice colors, and great locations.
The details are okay on the characters, and the animations are good.
There are videos of Brooke Burke giving the player encouragement to
exercise. There are not a lot of choices in terms of avatars, at least
compared to other games on the market. The avatars in Get Moving Family
Fitness Sports Edition do look better than the Miis, so that is
certainly something.
Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition has a lot of encouraging sound
bytes for the player in terms of doing well. The problem is you can play
a mini game and hear the exact same sound byte over and over again. Some
diversity in that area would have been greatly appreciated. The WMG did
not find any offensive sounds or language while playing Get Moving
Family Fitness Sports Edition on the Wii.
There are enough exercise mini games to keep families engaged for a few
months. Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition seems like a Wii Sports
game at times, and then like an exercise game at other times. Having one
foot in and one foot out hurts this game. Still families have enough to
interact with to get their moneys worth.
There are mini games in Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition that
control just fine. There are others that frustrate to no end. Since the
games are timed, and points are accrued the control issues stick out.
There are quirky things in Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition like
running down a football field, and right before the end zone a tackler
appears out of nowhere. The WMG ran into issues trying to hit the
volleyball to certain sides. Losing the chance at a new high score based
on these quirks is an irritant.
Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition is generally very safe for
families. Brooke Burke talks about being a mother, and exercise being an
important part of life. Based on her physique it is obvious she works
out regularly. The WMG is very encouraged to see her attach her name to
an exercise game like Get Moving Family Fitness Sports Edition. Sequels
to this Wii game need some tweaks on the controls in this reviewer's
opinion.
