Fifa Soccer 11

The Wii version of Fifa Soccer 11 is a whole lot different from its Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 counterparts. This version of Fifa Soccer 11 is a lot more casual, and a whole lot easier to get into. Families can quickly get into some fun soccer action. I really enjoyed the new Street Mode in Fifa Soccer 11. This allows players to play inside gyms, playgrounds, etc. Bouncing the ball off the wall is a legitimate way to pass in this mode.

The funniest thing I saw while playing Fifa Soccer 11 on the Wii was the logo on certain players shirts. I actually saw Xbox 360 Live on the shirts of a team I was playing against. Bear in mind this is the Wii version of Fifa Soccer 11. The players animate nicely, and the create a player has a nice amount of options. If you compare the Wii version to its more powerful counterparts you will notice they look better. That is not to say the graphics are bad in Fifa Soccer 11 on the Wii. I have no complaints. It is just not as good looking as the Xbox 360/PS3 version.

The music in Fifa Soccer 11 on the Wii has one of two options. Either have all the music on, or all the music off. I really wish EA Sports had brought over the single song choice selections from the Xbox 360/PS3 version. The commentators are pretty good in Fifa Soccer 11, and express a lot of emotion when goals are scored. Expect a lot more goals in the Street Mode. In fact a few of those games looked more like baseball scores, but I was having fun.

The Wii version of Fifa Soccer 11 allows you to create your own player, and become a star, become a manager of a club, play in various modes, start tournaments, go for the trophy, and more. Casual soccer fans will find a lot to do and play in Fifa Soccer 11. Yes the Xbox 360/PS3 version has more content, and is more of a sim. I have to be honest I enjoy playing the Wii version more personally.

Why would I enjoy the Wii version more? The controls are one of the biggest reasons. The faster game play in this version of Fifa Soccer 11 fits my style. I have more fun playing with three friends locally on this version, and like the teams. Fifa Soccer 11 allows for various controller methods based on which controllers you have, and your skill level. I found the best way to play was the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. At least that is my preference. Fifa Soccer 11 contains various difficulty modes, and creating your own player contains a lot of skill upgrade possibilities.

Families can have a lot of fun with Fifa Soccer 11 on the Wii. I like the direction EA Sports is taking Fifa Soccer 11 on this system. It is easy to get into, and contains more than enough to keep families busy for months. I am very curious to see what improvements this franchise includes in the future. I will be recommending Fifa Soccer 11 to friends, and pastors I know. Casual sports fans have a fun game to spend their evenings with.
