Drawn II Dark Flight
SCORE: 80
I have always appreciated sequels that pick up exactly where the last
game stopped. Drawn II Dark Flight does this, and it does it with a lot
of flair. Players get to help save Iris, and rid the kingdom of the evil
dark king. This is done through puzzles. Big Fish Games has kept the
door open to casual gamers with the a fantastic hints system, and the
ability to skip puzzles. Hardcore games can settle down because they can
keep the difficulty level up there if they so choose.
Drawn II Dark Flight has some of the most fantastic art work I have seen
in years. The hand drawn screens are fantastic. One of the best aspects
of the graphics in Drawn II Dark Flight is the player is bringing light
back to the world. The images change as the player brings light to the
area, and it really improves the mood of the game. I did not find any
offensive images while playing Drawn II Dark Flight.
What amazes me the most about Drawn II Dark Flight is the music. The
music adds a real layer to this game. The music changes as the player
brings light to the world, and this is done in a great way. Gamers who
are hardcore into the music will be very impressed with Drawn II Dark
Flight on the Personal Computer (PC). I enjoyed the theme of bringing
light to this artistic world. There is a secondary theme in Drawn II
Dark Flight of putting the rightful queen back on the throne.
Family Friendly Gaming was given a reviewable copy of the Collector's
Edition. There are some extras that fans of the franchise will find
fascinating. If you use all the hints this game can be beaten in under
five hours. If you do not accept the assistance it will take
considerably longer to figure it out. Drawn II Dark Flight tells an
interesting story. The downside is it is mainly a one shot kind of
thing. I enjoyed the experience, but once you know the puzzle solutions
it will go a lot faster the second time through.
I have played various puzzle games that require certain things found on
specific screens and then used on other screens. Many of their hint
systems are confusing. Drawn II Dark Flight gives very specific
directions, and it makes perfect sense. The puzzle are very inventive,
and I loved getting to go inside paintings and interact with characters
inside. I had a lot of fun playing Drawn II Dark Flight.
Bringing light to a dark world is the main lesson in Drawn II Dark
Flight, and we at Family Friendly Gaming approve. The puzzles helped me
think about things in different ways. I appreciate it when a video game
makes me thinking in a way I never thought before. I am so glad that Big
Fish Games released this game, and look forward to the next chapter in
this story. It should be very interesting.
