Dragon Quest Swords The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors

The RPG Master went out and purchased Dragon Quest Swords The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors hoping it would be a good game. The Wii has brought exercise to the masses, and opened the door to some activity for us role playing gamers. Unfortunately that can not save this particular video game. Although one can get winded reciting this games name. All joking aside, players get to slice and dice their way through enemies. Kill enough and you get to level up. This increases your stats and makes you more powerful. Sadly the system does not get much deeper than that.

There are a lot of bright and colorful graphics in Dragon Quest Swords The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors. The country side looks nice, and the town looks okay. There are some nice visual effects in certain areas of the game. The bad side to this Wii game is the violence. Enemies get sliced into pieces, which is very disgusting. There are female characters about ready to bust out of their small outfits. There are a few other disgusting things like zombies throwing up on the player.

Dragon Quest Swords The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors has some neat music that fans of this franchise will immediately recognize. The storyline is predictable from the start. Going to church lets you hear all about the goddess. When will companies regionalize these games for the majority belief in God in the US? This Wii game also has some language issues. The voice acting is okay, but feels stagnant at times.

There are some armor, and weapon choices while playing Dragon Quest Swords The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors. Most RPG’s have more though. Getting the extras in this game will require re-playing past dungeons to earn enough money.

Moving around in Dragon Quest Swords The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors is annoying beyond belief. Turning or turning around are annoyingly slow. Running straight forward is okay at best. Slicing and dicing enemies can also become annoying when it does not behave the way you expect it to.

Dragon Quest Swords The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors gave this reviewer a headache on so many different levels. The gore, goddess, pub, disobedience, and more were difficult to wade through. Pass on this one please.
