Dragon Ball Origins 2

I am so very blessed to be able to play and review Dragonball Origins 2 on the Nintendo DS. Goku is back and this time he needs to face off against the Red Ribbon Army. He gets help from Krillin, Bulma, Yamcha, and other characters. Two players can team up and battle in a co-op mode as well. Dragonball Origins 2 improves upon the original in almost every way.

The visuals in Dragonball Origins 2 are slightly improved. I noticed improvements in the cut scenes, and the menu screens. There is a much better layout to the menu screens that make navigating a lot easier. Dragonball Origins 2 contains a lot of violence. The player takes out various animals, and human characters.  Martial arts, as well as weapons are used in this Nintendo DS video game. There is also some sexually suggestive content in this hand held video game.

I really enjoyed the music in Dragonball Origins 2, which is something that really helps this game out. The bad part of Dragonball Origins 2 is some of the language. The ESRB has done a fantastic job with the rating as well as the descriptors. I advise parents to pay close attention to it in terms of this game. Dragonball Origins 2 is faithful to the characters in the series, and some of them are pretty rough.

I am always fascinated to see what changes happen in a game when publishers are changed. Dragonball Origins was published by Atari, and Dragonball Origins 2 is published by Namco Bandai. The difficulty level in this DS game is definitely up there. Hardcore gamers will get a real pleasure out of playing this game. Even they can expect a challenge on bosses. There are a lot of awards that can be won by making certain achievements. The better you play, the more you will wind up unlocking. To get good you will have to replay this game quite a bit.

The controls are vastly improved in Dragonball Origins 2. This hand held video game allows for touch only, button only, or touch and button controls. I found the best thing to do is both of the control schemes at the same time. Button controls work better in some situations (like fighting), and touch controls work better in other situations. Having the choice of both negates some of the issues with either. This is a very intelligent piece of progress for this franchise.

Dragonball Origins 2 has some moral and ethical issues that players will run across. I got tired of the fighting in this game after awhile. Goku is trying to stop a great evil, and he uses violence to solve his problems. I have to admit that Dragonball Origins 2 is a guilty pleasure for me. I have noted some nice improvements in this franchise.
