Disney Stitch Jam
SCORE: 75
I really like Disney Stitch Jam. Stitch goes on a quest to save Angel
(editor: who was kidnapped). This Nintendo DS video game is an
interesting take on a music game too. Players much touch the screen when
their character intersects with specific on screen items. Certain items
require the player draw a quick line up or down. Disney Stitch Jam
contains content that can be used with DGamer as well.
This is a very bright and colorful video game. I really like the colors
used in Disney Stitch Jam for the DS. This hand held video game contains
a healthy amount of background animation as well. The comic mischief
comes into play when Stitch will attack certain enemies during the
levels. Normally this comes from drawing the line up at the right point
in time. I was not able to spend a lot of time on the violent content
because so much else was happening.
The musical element in Disney Stitch Jam is a lot of fun. I enjoyed
listening to the various songs while playing this game. Tapping the
screen at the right point fit this game amazingly well. Stitch is trying
to save Angel, and I found that a very admirable quest. I found no
offensive sounds or words while playing Disney Stitch Jam for the
Nintendo DS.
DGamer is one of the best extras Disney Stitch Jam contains. There are
three difficulty settings for the ten levels, so you can really
challenge yourself. Free Mode lets the player use different characters,
after they have been unlocked. Two players can enjoy this game thanks to
wireless single card download play. I feel that Disney Stitch Jam is
worth the money as long as you understand its length.
The one complaint I have about Disney Stitch Jam is how short it is. On
easy mode this game can be beat in under an hour. Normal mode takes
longer, and I will get back to you if I ever defeat the hard mode. I
also could not understand at times while certain taps did not register.
This was not a common occurrence, so I am hoping it was user error.
Disney Stitch Jam is a light hearted video game that I found to be a lot
of fun.
Concentration, rhythm, and coordination are the main lessons I gleaned
from Disney Stitch Jam. Saving a friend from an evil kidnapper is
another lesson families can pick up as well. The length of Disney Stitch
Jam is the main concern I have. I know there are a lot of families that
will enjoy this game, especially fans of the franchise. I appreciate how
Disney Interactive Studios tried something interesting and new with
Disney Stitch Jam.
