Ever since singing games have come around I have been recommending companies do one that focuses on families. Disney Sing It Family Hits is that game on the Wii and Playstation 3 (PS3). These are classic songs from Disney movies. The backgrounds are taken directly from the movies. So when you are singing “Real Gone,” you are watching parts of the Cars movie. The Jungle Book, Aladdin, The Lion King, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, and more are represented in this singing game.
The video is awesome in Disney Sing It Family Hits. The scenes from the movies are intelligently strung together like a music video. This game will also try to format the audio and video of your system for optimum performance. If you have seen Mulan, The Princess and the Frog, Toy Story, etc. you know what kind of video to expect. Some very mild cartoon violence can appear here and there. This is Disney we are talking about. There are some nice special effects like what happens when the on screen cursor is moved around.
Disney Sing It Family Hits contains some of the most well known songs for the various movies represented. Some examples are: “Under the Sea,” “Once Upon a Dream,” Cruella De Vil,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “Be Our Guest,” and “The Bare Necessities.” All ages of the family can enjoy Disney Sing It Family Hits. Many of these songs were favorites of mine when I was a child. A few of these songs do have lyric issues that families may be concerned with. Check out the entire song list to decide if any of the songs are an issue in your family.
Are you one of those families who is not invited to sing in the church choir? If so, you may be reading this review thinking this game sounds good, but I do not want to embarrass myself. Disney Sing It Family Hits have thought of you. Anika Noni Rose (the voice of Princess Tiana) has singing lessons in this home console video game. She can help all of us improve our singing voices. That alone makes it worth the price of admission in my book. Disney Interactive Studios decided to include a lot of unlockable content to really beef up the replay value.
Disney Sing It Family Hits gives families three levels of difficulty to play with. The easier the level the nicer this game is to you. I like to stay on easy so I can really rack up the score. Others like to get a real challenge, and they increase it. Disney Sing It Family Hits is very nice to players as long as you are paying attention to the bottom of the screen. Disney Sing It Family Hits lets us know when to start singing, and what the line is. “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” is a lot of fun in this game. In fact I had fun with a lot of the songs in this game.
Disney Sing It Family Hits is the safest home console singing game we
have ever played here at Family Friendly Gaming. I hope this becomes a
trend for the future, and there are additional titles in this line up. I
learned how to sing better, how to prepare myself to sing, and to have a
lot of fun. The package Family Friendly Gaming received contained a
Logitech Microphone. I mention this because it is required to play
Disney Sing It Family Hits.
