Disney Channel All Star Party

Disney Channel All Star Party is a party game for four people. Players get to choose characters from seven different humorous Disney Channel television shows. Camp Rock The Final Jam, Phineas and Ferb, Sonny with a Chance, Hannah Montana Forever, Wizards of Waverly Place, Jonas Brothers, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody are those shows. The characters from the shows were given Mii treatment. Which fits this game because you can import your very own Mii's. Disney Channel All Star Party includes over thirty mini games. They are themed around the previously mentioned television shows.

I am a little disappointed with the graphics in Disney Channel All Star Party. Younger members of the family will not care, and most like love the look of this Wii game. There are various sections to Disney Channel All Star Party, and most of them are very bright and full of color. The cartoon violence in Disney Channel All Star Party is similar to things found in Looney Tunes. Disney Channel All Star Party reminds me of a scaled down version of Wii Party done with Disney television show stars.

The music has a rockish sound in Disney Channel All Star Party. Which is not surprising considering how many of these television shows revolve around music. If they don't spin around music, they certain have some good music in them. There is some humor to this Wii game, especially if you know content from the shows. The trivia mini games are the ones where this shines the brightest. The special effect sounds amplify the experience of this party game.

Disney Channel All Star Party contains unlockable costume content. This is cool because you can dress these characters in different outfits from the show. How come I felt like I was playing with Barbie when I did that? All joking aside, I recognized many of the outfits in Disney Channel All Star Party from the television shows. The Jonas Brothers outfits are the most memorable to me. Up to four players can compete together which I think is so cool.

Disney fans will eat up things like the trivia in Disney Channel All Star Party. Others will be at a disadvantage. If you are at a disadvantage then you need to make up lost ground in mini games. Each player has the opportunity to do a button command, or Wii Remote motion first. Whoever wins that gets to pick what show, and then under the show what mini game is played next. Paying attention at that critical moment is what gives a real advantage. Of course you still need to win the mini game. The majority of the mini games are easy to control. A few took a couple of tries.

The party genre on the Wii is becoming a really crowded field. Disney Channel All Star Party sets itself apart with the Disney personalities. I learned to compete fairly, and to celebrate success. I like the idea of bringing in so many different shows into one game. I do not feel Camp Rock The Final Jam fits the rest of the shows personally, but that is just me. I hope to see more games like this in the future. A port to Kinect with improved graphics might be interesting.
