Daisy Fuentes Pilates

Daisy Fuentes Pilates is an exercise video game on the Wii. Electronic Arts set the bar pretty high for this kind of a video game on this system. Could a celebrity personality mixed with such an established publisher climb to the top? Sadly, the answer to that question is no. Daisy Fuentes Pilates has an amazing amount of potential. There are a few major problems that hold this video game back. Most exercise based video games gives the player the choice of a male or female trainer. Daisy Fuentes Pilates has only the female trainer. This can immediately turn off a certain segment of the family. What was the developers solution? To have the trainer nearly busting out of her top. This solution winds up disgusting families.

As I have just mentioned the enticement to lust content is in Daisy Fuentes Pilates. This is an exercise video game, and certain attire is expected. Daisy Fuentes Pilates goes beyond that, and has way too much chest showing. The details are not that great in the graphical department either. Sega must have had to pay too much money for a recognized name, and not enough money on developing a good, clean, and safe game for families. There are some interesting background areas like the pool.

Working out can be tough work. I for one enjoy encouragement. Daisy Fuentes Pilates contains some encouragement, but it also has some lengthy silent periods. Hearing left, and then later right back to back becomes monotonous. I thought and prayed for awhile to determine a nice way of expressing how the audio felt in this Wii game. The nicest thing I can think of is boring. I am comparing Daisy Fuentes Pilates to Wii Fit, and EA Sports Active. Both of those games engage the player, and keep the tempo upbeat.

Daisy Fuentes Pilates contains a decent amount of exercises that can keep players engaged for a few weeks. There are a few options in terms of work outs. Only one player can play Daisy Fuentes Pilates at a time. This is another area this game is lacking (editor: compared to other exercise games).

The only thing I could see Daisy Fuentes Pilates judging me on was the timing. To me there is a lot more to an exercise than the timing. I also noticed some issues with Wii Remote placement. At times I was in the right place, but the game did not register my movements. I got the benefit of the exercise even if the game did not acknowledge it.

Paul found Daisy Fuentes Pilates on clearance for just under ten dollars. We both feel like it was money wasted. To learn the exercise you must watch the trainer, and neither of us want that because of attire choice. There is a fair amount of work needed before a sequel could ever be released.
