Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville

Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville is a cute little Nintendo DS video game that honors the franchise it is built upon.  Players start out picking their animal, rubbing the heart, and picking a name. You are then taken around town meeting various residents. Along the way you get to play mini games, and build your very own house.  The mini games are fun, and usually pretty short. Then the player gets tools, and this starts to remind me of Animal Crossing.

I liked when Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville zoomed in on the characters. They looked pretty good then. Most of the mini games have smaller graphics, but that has to be expected with quantity of them. This Nintendo DS hand held video game contains a nice range of graphics as well as areas to explore. I found no offensive images in Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville.

The music is really good in Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville. I felt like I was a part of this fun little fantasy world that is sure to please children. The special effect sounds are good. I caught some interesting concepts in this DS game. The biggest one was to plant a tree after chopping one down. Characters are friendly, and encouraging throughout the game. Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville is a nice escape from the real world of selfish, arrogant, greedy, power hungry, and impatient people.

If you and a friend both have Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville, then ya’ll can compete in the multiplayer mode. Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville contains a lot to unlock, and plenty of mini games to play. I can see children playing this game for a month or two easily. I also feel that this game is worth the price of admission.

Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville has great touch screen controls. I only had a minor issue with one mini game. I did not realize on the ball game I was not supposed to keep trying to roll the ball my character was on. Chalk this up to user error. I noticed that the intro screen to this mini game explained in a visual form how to play it. Even geniuses make mistakes. I had a lot of fun playing Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville. In fact it was more fun than I was expecting.

Good, clean, and wholesome fun is the main lesson I got from Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville. Being friendly to neighbors, and trying hard in games also came across. Build a Bear Workshop Welcome to Hugsville reminds us that real true fun comes from good clean video games. I look forward to sequels.
