Battlestar Galactica 2point5

So the second season of Battlestar Galactica is finished off in Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5. As I mentioned in the review of Battlestar Galactica Season 2.0 I am not please with half a season being released. There are eleven episodes in Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5, however one of them is actually the last one from 2.0 with deleted scenes.

The humans finally get to hurt the Cylons thanks to the mission to take out the Resurrection Ship. This ship is how the Cylons get their memories downloaded to a new body once they die. This is how they learn from mistakes and essentially become smarter. The level of violence continues, and the Black Market episode is one of the most disgusting I have ever seen on television.

The sickness that has consumed President Roslin finally takes its course, and the human Cylon unborn baby is used to save her life (the blood). Abortion is touched upon in this season as well, and even though it is made illegal the show does so in a way that shows how it agonizes over protecting human life. The most interesting aspect of Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5 is how a planet is found that humans can live on, and that Cylons should not be able to find.

President Roslin tries to steal an election and is not punished. Dr. Baltar becomes president, and his addiction is prescription drugs, alcohol and womanizing gets worse. Alcohol plays a major role in the lives of many of the characters in Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5. Well acted with many flaws morally and ethically.
